| "I made this album to embody all the aspects of hip-hop as I know it" Yaiva. "Honestly, hip-hop was not always a voice of revolution for me. As a youth I fell in love with song like "Colors" from Ice-T and "Dope Man" from NWA, but also "Black Steel in the Hours of Chaos" from Public Enemy and "My Philosopy" from KRS-One and also "I Need Love" from LL Cool J and "My Posse's On Broadway" by Sir-Mix-A-Lot. So when I was making this album I incorporate all of those elements of rap, (rap being one of the five elements of hip-hop) to express myself. Thanks to all the fans and supporters for the years of continued support, I appreciate and love you, Yaiva |
